Lab and Mobile Printing

Campus Printing Evaluation:

Behrend Information Technology Services will be implementing a monitoring simulation that will track print requests sent to all student accessible printers.  This action is being taken at the request of Student Government in an effort to curb waste, and is endorsed by college Administration and the Greener Behrend Task force. During the simulation, students will see a pop up message that will indicate what the costs associated with their job would be if ‘for fee’ printing was implemented.  Across the University the model is typically 110 pages free, and then 5 cents per page after that.  Again we’re stressing that at this time no charges will be incurred.  It’s hoped that the information provided during the pilot program will help students make better decisions on what they want or need to print.

The campus printing model will be re-evaluated by Administration at the end of the spring 2017 semester.
